The Shale Gas News, heard every Saturday morning at 10 AM on 94.3 FM “The Talker,” talked about the “ignoble” Cuomo and a noble Federal Court decision in NY this week.
Every Saturday, Kevin Lynn of Linde Corporation and I co-host a morning radio show to discuss all things natural gas.
The Shale Gas News is typically broadcast live and this past Saturday’s program, the podcast of which is available here, included an interview with Dan Alfaro of Ohio on the subject of the booming Utica Shale, and covered the following additional territory:
- The Washington Post, of all people, called New York Governor Cuomo’s fracking decision an “Ignoble” one. The Post editorial says fracking is OK when done right, and makes it more than clear Cuomo messed up badly with his decision to ban fracking. When you’ve failed to convince the Washington Post, one of biggest liberal thought machines out there, you know you’ve failed. Looks like his gambit failed outside of New York, which is a different universe.
- Anschutz Exploration won a 4 year-old methane contamination case in Federal Court in New York. The court threw out the entire case, embarrassing the plaintiffs’ law firm and its experts with simple observations. The decision also served as a reminder of the law firm’s own sleazy doings and its pathetic performance in Dimock.
- Marcellus ethane will head to India aboard six new Japanese ships out of the export facility now under construction in Cove Point, Maryland. Japan and India will be buying up the LNG, teaming up to purchase America’s ethane instead of methane.
- Shale development has helped drive Ohio gasoline prices to under $2/gallon this past week as prices in the state have fallen 14.4 cents/gallon and prices nationwide fell 9.6 cents/gallon.

Thanks for your informative post Bill, but that won’t bother Cuomo in the least. He’ll just keep parroting his same ignorant misinformation with his patented, ever present blank look. After all, he has to please his New York City handlers. Now doesn’t he? Can you imagine what an embarrassment he would be in the White House? Keep up the good work.
