NGSA Goes to Court to Fight for the Constitution

Climate Witch Trials - Jim Willis reports

NGSA filed a brief in federal court and also with the New York DEC to move forward with two critical pipeline projects, including the Constitution.

The Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) has gone into action to support two currently-stalled pipeline projects in the People’s Republic of New York, where Chairman Cuomo rules. Yesterday the NGSA filed a brief in federal court to respond to an effort by the rogues gallery of environmental extremist groups (including Catskill Mountainkeeper, Riverkeeper, Sierra Clubbers and other ne’er–do–wells) to stop the Constitution Pipeline from getting built.

Dakota Access is Caught Between Standing Rock and A Hard Place

…..
…..

Only now is the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe protesting the Dakota Access pipeline. Why not during the year long process of public meetings and permit approval?

If you haven’t heard of the Dakota Access pipeline protest across the North Dakota border, now’s the time to pay attention.

The project, a 30-inch-diameter pipeline owned by Energy Transfer Partners, would move up to 570,000 barrels per day from the Bakken oil fields to Patoka, Illinois, was scheduled to be operational by the end of the year. The pipeline operator purchased voluntary easement agreements on 100% of the properties along the route in North Dakota and 99% of the properties across the entire four-state route. All permits, including approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in July, have also been obtained by the company; however, protests have stopped construction in its tracks.

Your voice is critical in shaping Pennsylvania’s economic and energy future.

Natural gas pipelines such as Atlantic Sunrise provide more people and businesses access to an abundant supply of clean and affordable natural gas, helping minimize the cost of energy, and many consumer products, for people like you.

Poetic Justice for the Constitution Pipeline?

Constitution Pipeline - Tom Shepstone ReportsTom Shepstone
Shepstone Management Company, Inc.

The Constitution Pipeline is getting some poetic justice, as Andrew Cuomo is forced to address an energy situation that requires more than his bandaids.

Poetic justice may be the sweetest of all, even if sometimes fleeting. The Constitution Pipeline is getting some right now. Electricity providers in both New York and New England have been telling Andrew Cuomo and others governors they need more access to natural gas. That means the Constitution Pipeline. Cuomo, in a craven act of subservience to the NRDC gang, refused to allow his Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to issue a routine permit for this necessary infrastructure. Now, a heat wave has forced him to call for conservation. How sweet it is! Well, not really.

PennEast Pipeline Earns Workers’ Support

shale gas outrages - Tom Shepstone ReportsTom Shepstone

A PennEast Pipeline FERC hearing last night at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania brought out lots of deserved support from workers.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is holding four public hearings this week on the PennEast Pipeline. One took place at the well known Penn’s Peak venue perched overlooking the Lehigh River in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. It was reasonably well-attended. More importantly, there were numerous union representatives there to make the case for the project. There was also landowner support.

Naomi Klein: The Naive Nanny of Fractivism

fracking reality

Tom Shepstone
Natural Gas NOW

Fractivist Naomi Klein has achieved capitalist success by bashing the institution while cheerleading for those bringing Venezuelan people to their knees.

Naomi Klein is the perfect fractivist from an elitist perspective. Snobby and condescending, she’s bought fame by decrying capitalism and the oil and gas industry. The industry improves lives every day as she condemns it to improve her brand. She serves, meanwhile, as a “Fellow” at the Nation Institute in New York City, where the building is heated with natural gas. She also resides in Ontario, Canada where natural gas is the primary heating fuel for 70% of homes. She’s just a more attractive version of Michael Moore in that respect, but every bit as hypocritical. Naomi Klein, in fact, says “the fracking industry is vicious, brutal and will stop at nothing to get its way.”

She should know, given the sorts of people and government she’s supported in the past.

The Brazen Lies Being Peddled by the William Penn Foundation

fracking reality

Tom Shepstone
Natural Gas NOW

The William Penn Foundation, inextricably linked with the Rockefeller family, is telling some lies about water to further their special interests.

The upper region of the Delaware River basin is threatened. It’s not threatened by development but, rather, by very wealthy special interests peddling outright lies about water quality. These special interests, which include the Haas family (Philadelphia) and the Rockefellers, want to make a wilderness of this region. They’re spending hundreds of millions of dollars to scare people into giving it to them. They’re also targeting natural gas with their scare tactics; it being the one thing that could derail their scheme.

The Ugly Side of Pipeline Politics

fracking reality

Tom Shepstone
Natural Gas NOW

There’s an ugly side to pipeline politics. It’s less the predictable fractivist antics of ideologues than the anticompetitive moves of some power generators.

Pipeline politics have become increasingly dirty as fractivists committed to an ideological battle have attacked project after project. Elitist foundations fund them to advance their very special interests. Unfortunately, they’re not the only special interests to play dirty pipeline politics. Some electric power generators are doing the same thing.

The Atlantic Sunrise Needs Our Help

fracking reality

Tom Shepstone
Natural Gas NOW

The Atlantic Sunrise needs help. Let’s tell Pennsylvania DEP we want affordable, reliable energy and to issue the permit immediately.

We all care deeply about the economic and energy future of Pennsylvania, and the Nation.  Please help us tell the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) before August 1, 2016 that Atlantic Sunrise is a key piece of energy infrastructure. It will only take a few moments of your time to show your support.
